Now everyone can have global satellite navigation in their car. The Magellan RoadMate 300 portable auto navigation system makes navigation easy and fun, with friendly voice prompting, turn-by-turn guidance and the latest touch screen technology.

The Magellan RoadMate 300 calculates your route and automatically updates your directions when you decide to take a detour. Easily download regions you plan to travel in, to the internal memory, from 2 CD ROMs containing advanced detailed mapping of the entire U.S. and Canada¹. The internal memory holds up to 110 MB of map data including the built-in North American major roads network. Freely download unlimited map data to Secure Digital (SD) memory cards (sold separately) and create new maps before traveling in different regions. So, do away with bulky paper maps and the time it takes to log on to the Internet to get directions. The Magellan RoadMate 300 puts the ease and accuracy of vehicle navigation at your fingertips.

The new Magellan Trip Planner enables you to select multiple destination points from your address book before setting out on your driving adventure. Your Magellan RoadMate 300 will guide you from one point to the next without the need to select a new destination after each stop. Regardless of what town you’re in you can get gas, visit the ATM, pick up a relative and stop by the florist before meeting the family at the restaurant to celebrate mom’s birthday, all without re-entering destination points while on the journey.

An extensive list of points of interest (POI) in your selected area makes it easy to choose your destination quickly. POIs are organized in categories and sub-categories for easy browsing or searching by name. Find a specific gas station, restaurant, hotel, ATM, amusement park and more to easily navigate to the nearest amenity or one along your planned route.

Easily download the regions you travel in to the internal memory and add new maps when traveling in different regions (unlimited downloading). Extend your detailed map coverage further with Secure Digital memory cards² (not included).

Magellan RoadMate finds your location and the map continuously moves with you via our TrueFix™ technology. Tracking up to 14 GPS satellites simultaneously, assisted by the Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS), the Magellan RoadMate is accurate to within 3 meters or better so that you can rest assured that you know where you are and where you’re going.
Advanced points of interest database
The POI database provides extensive listings in your downloaded region, including businesses, banks, hotels, airports, gas stations, ATMs, restaurants, and more! You can easily select your destination by name or category to find the nearest amenity along your planned route. Sub-categories provide even easier access by allowing you to choose the specific type of restaurant, service or amenity you want.

The Magellan RoadMate 300 automatically calculates a new route when you decide to take a detour because of heavy traffic, a closed road or just to grab a cup of coffee.
Address Book
Store up to 200 personal or business destinations per user for a total of 600. Each user can personally select their top three to keep them handy.
Instant Locate
Provides information about your present location so you can easily direct emergency services and roadside assistance.
Automatic startup and shutdown
